Gannon, B&G Motorsports Show Early Speed Heading Into Opening Night at Shasta Speedway

ANDERSON, CA — Opening night has arrived at Shasta Speedway, and B&G Motorsports is already turning heads.

After a full day of practice on Saturday, the B&G Motorsports No. 02 ZL1 Camaro, driven by Eric Gannon, showed immediate speed—clocking in 3rd and 4th quickest overall despite battling a minor engine stumble.

The performance signals strong early potential for the Redding-based team as they debut their new Super Late Model program.

Following three productive practice sessions, the team is making final adjustments this morning—fine-tuning the car and addressing small issues that come with dialing in a new build.

“We’re right where we need to be,” said the team. “The speed is there—we just need to clean up the last few details.”

Tonight’s opener is expected to feature a full field of Super Late Models, with competitors traveling in from across the West Coast, Pacific Northwest, and Canada—setting the stage for one of the most competitive opening nights in recent memory.
